Senior Merchandise Manager

Reporting To: Country Director

*Key Purpose of the Job:
- Provide leadership to the Product development, Costing, Commercialization & Production functions for assigned categories / brands in the country/region to set and achieve goals aligned with Brand, VF Product Supply and Corporate objectives.
- Support VF Asia HK and Country leadership to build and execute Business & Talent strategies in the region and maintain strong internal and external partnerships.

*Key Area of Responsibility:
• Understand and cascade VF corporate and business objectives and strategy for the region for assigned categories and guide the team to build actionable work plans to achieve the objectives.
• Support Brand Sourcing and Country Directors to plan and build seasonal and longer term business strategies, internal & external capabilities and strong vendor relationships in the region.
• Manage regional office teams and vendors through the product development, costing, capacity planning and production processes to deliver on established calendar and goals.
• Be as the voice of the business in region to reinforce & achieve VF corporate and functional objectives (e.g. CSR, Quality, Ethics & compliance…) with our vendor and other supply chain partners .
• Meet or exceed the set foundational KPIs for the region through efficient planning, close performance monitoring, pro-active risk mitigation and effective communication.
• Excel in customer service (speed, accuracy & completeness) against brand needs; Continuously improve operational efficiency through process harmonization and better leverage of resources.
• Keep abreast of the Industry trends, new products, innovation, supply chain capabilities,vendors, talent, price movements, competitor activities, market risks etc. in the region and proactively bring opportunities and solutions to the table for VFs current and future sourcing needs.
• Hire, Train and Develop RO Merchandising and Production teams with necessary technical and soft skills to carry out the assigned responsibilities successfully. Drive effective implementation of Talent Strategies and provide on job learning opportunities.
• Develop strong leadership bench for key roles in your organization.

• Coordinate with all External & Internal stakeholders across Vendors, VF Asia Brand Teams, Quality Management, Responsible Sourcing, Product Stewardship, HR, Finance & Logistics to ensure both Category and One VF Corporate objectives are achieved successfully.

* Minimum Relevant Experience: 10 year (s)
* Minimum Supervisory Experience: 5 year (s)
* Minimum Academic Requirement: University graduate
* Major Subject: Textiles, Fashion, Business
