Senior Manager, Transportation Excellence

Lead the development and implementation of nation-wide transport strategies and plans to ensure efficiency of transport operations and delivery on time with optimized costs
Manage operating departmental budgets and costs
Be accountable for net sales/EBIT/headcount responsibility Stock freshness (aging)
Responsibilities

Manage operating departmental budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient allocation of resources, where applicable
Formulate transportation strategies, guidelines and procedures with local Supply
Coordinate supply chain management to ensure on time delivery with minimum/optimized operational costs
Oversee the implementation of transportation strategies, networks and modes to ensure consistency and efficiency of transport operations throughout the Group
Drive Nation-wide transport performance measures. Lead regular reviews with local team to ensure progress and alignment towards overall goals
Initiate and lead nation-wide transport efficiency initiatives/projects including Transport Management System (TMS) to enhance process efficiency, service levels and cost reduction
Lead development and implementation of transport quality and health, safetly and environment systems
Design, manage and monitor the execution of development programs (including train-the-trainer) to transfer knowledge and best practices on transport operations
Provide technical and leadership support to local transport operations including KPI review, best practices, issue resolution, contract negotiation
Collaborate with cross functional team (e.g. Sales, Client Management, etc.) to ensure operations proficiency and efficiency to support client and customer solutions

Leadership responsibilities

Manage and oversee team’s delivery of team/function goals to drive execution against goals set
Demonstrate in-depth understanding of transport operations and network optimization
Demonstrate advanced research and analytical skills
Proven experience in managing supply chains in a multinational and cross-border environment
Demonstrate knowledge of supply chain best practices and standards
Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in international/cross-cultural interactions

Functional skills and knowledge

Demonstrate working understanding of supply chain management
Demonstrate knowledge in warehouse and transportation management systems (ideally SAP)
Demonstrate knowledge of sales forecasting, material requirements planning and purchase order processing
Demonstrate basic understanding of industrial engineering fundamentals and logistics solution design
Demonstrate experience in cost control and productivity improvement initiatives
Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in international/cross-cultural interactions
Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Demonstrate fluency in English, both written and spoken

*Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field

*Work experience:

10 years senior level experience, a proven track record in Project of transportation, supply chain combined with commercial management experience.
Experience in logistics or supply chain industry will be preferable
Experience in acting as an advisor / expert.
