Senior Manager, Occupational Health, Safety, Security and Sustainability

The role

The primary responsibility and accountability of the Senior Manager, Health, Safety, Security & Sustainability (HSSS) is to develop, implement, manage, monitor and review strategies to manage the risks specific RMIT Operations across Vietnam ensuring a healthy and safe environment for the University community, including staff, students, contractors and visitors.

The role will also encompass the management of key programs and projects, in collaboration with Director of Operations and key stakeholders to manage HSSE Risk and compliance. As subject matter expert the role leads the review, development and implementation of contemporary health, safety, security and sustainability strategies, policies and programs to minimise harm to our people and the environment.

This position is required to establish effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including senior RMIT staff, contractors, external authorities, unions and suppliers; and to develop networks to achieve the best HSSS service that supports the University's operational, compliance and service-delivery requirements to minimize risk of RMIT Operations on our people and the environment.

-Tertiary degree and post graduate qualifications in relevant HSSS field/s
-Demonstrable experience as a HSSS leader in mid to large sized organisations.
-Demonstrable specialist subject matter expertise in contemporary risk management as it applies to HSSS and RMIT.
-Sound understanding, and comprehension of Vietnamese law and regulation related to HSSS.
-Experience and knowledge of security risk management methodologies, protocols and procedures
-Solid understanding and capability in HSSS statistical data analysis.
-Ability in developing and producing meaningful HSSS reports for a range of stakeholders internally and externally.
-Experience using relevant HSSS technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV, mobility solutions)
