Senior Finance Analyst

The position provides a key source of financial expertise to the mill team (esp. mill management) and distribution/purchasing team/customer service team. The Senior Mill BA interfaces with several functional areas supporting the business or functional unit including engineering, research and development, operations, distribution, purchasing, planning, customer service, systems and accounting. As an active contributor to several (business unit) teams, the Senior Analyst performs financial, business and strategic analysis and recommends courses of action which would enable the stakeholders to meet the financial and business objectives. The incumbent assists management in managing total Mill cost and maintaining an effective supply chain, provide insight/analysis & perform Budgeting & Forecasting regarding Cost of sales (COS) & distribution. This role needs to lead independently with minor supervision from his/ her line manager.

Number of employees within indirect control: None. But interact & work closely with GBS

JOB EXPECTATION
1- Business Analysis
a. Cost controlling & Month end closing (15%)
• Review & ensure Mill expenditures are properly controlled
• Review Cost of Sales and Distribution cost
• Review and input for BW Mill variance report
• Currency exposure for material & Capex and ascertain business impact of currency on overall business results
• Other tasks related to costing (such as review costing run, forecast conversion cost inputs…)

b. Reporting and recommendation (15%)
• Prepare and analyze BD Mill monthly docket for mill leadership cost meeting
• Analyze variances of total mill and distribution cost & suggest counter-actions for control and effectiveness
• Attend OGSIM from the mill / distribution and make inputs/recommendation to improve supply chain system and overall efficiency


c. Budget & Forecast (20%)
Mill and Distribution Cost
• Work with each CC Owner to update/build up COS and Distribution P&L Lines
• Update CAPEX spending forecast for depreciation estimation
• Check machine utilization to ensure capacity availability for 2-3 years horizon
• Calculate forecast packing cost based on latest production volume
• Calculate standard cost/ transfer pricing for budget & forecast
• Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency for distribution and mill cost
TRANSFER PRICE FOR BUDGET AND FCST
• Prepare TP forecast (BCC)
• Review quarterly TP issued by Shared service team (BCC)
a. Analysis (40%)
• End- to- end supply chain analysis (such as Supply chain Loss Analysis)
• Cost benchmarking exercise
• Regional sourcing analysis
• Bidding analysis: such as inhouse & outside packing and Distribution
• FORCE/Cost Transformation reports
• Provide transfer price for new projects
• Provide COGS based on BOM for BFC projects
• Provide financials payout for APPN of projects
2- World Class Finance (10%)
Identify and make recommendations that optimize business processes and improve financial and other internal controls.

- University graduate - Accounting and Finance. ACCA/CIMA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in a Supply Chain Finance Manager position in a MNC environment.
