Senior Design Engineer

Accountabilities:
● Create illustration and planning sheets for all parts of card designs.
● Build incredible 3D sliceform cards using Rhino.
● Understand all of Lovepop’s engineering approaches and be able to use them to advantage in all designs.
● Open to feedback on designs and be able to defend the design choices made.
● Ensure designers clearly understand project completion dates and any alterations to design schedule.
● Implement processes and systems for estimating design team capacity and balancing individual designer work loads.
● Work with production team to alleviate issues before and during production.
● Improve designs to increase efficiency during production.
● Continuously meet deadlines for project completion or before.
● Interview design candidates and helps build an amazing design team.

Responsibilities:
● Project management- Resource planning for all on going projects. Own all test and production orders on Odoo and keep all stakeholders informed of any changes.
● Work with the US and VN Art Directors to understand the capacities of the designers and ensure we are making achievable design schedules.
● Communicate with US Design team and make sure they are kept up-to-date on all on going projects.
● Assist in implementing processes for tracking and approving design planning sheets.
● Prototype and perform quality assurance on new cards.
● Inspect files and prototypes from US and VN before production.
● Manage design team in absence of the Art Director.
● Willing to work flexible hours to stay aligned with US team.

● Prerequisites: Vocational degree and above with focus on: graphic design, architecture, studio art, engineering...
● Professional experience: At least 3 years experience in a similar position. Possess strong knowledge of 3D sliceform cards and artform.
● Technical skills: Rhino, AI, Photoshop, Corel.
● Good communication skills and effective people and task management.
● Planning and scoping of projects with appropriate objectives, goals, and processes for project completion.
● Ability to communicate in English with US team.
