Senior Analyst, Java Developer

Job Purpose:
Responsible for analysing and designing new IT solutions, modifying, enhancing or adapting existing systems and integrating new features or improvements, all with the aim of improving business efficiency and productivity.

Major Accountabilities:
1. Take part in designing, coding and testing software components
2. Create unit test, maintain and troubleshoot software
3. Address the problems related to technical design and implementation
4. Participate in the project/sprint estimation, planning and monitoring
5. Manage delivery of tasks within a given timeline
6. Support other tasks as required by supervisor.

Technical skills:
- Java 7 (or 8) core and advanced knowledge.
- Knowledge of software development process, methodologies, test-driven development
- Good knowledge of front-end development (HTML5, Angular JS, Bootstrap)
- Basic knowledge of OOP, application architecture, design patterns
- Strong knowledge of ORM (Hibernate, JPA 2.0)
- Good knowledge of RDBMS, specifically Oracle, SQL Server
- Strong knowledge of web services (Soap, Restful, JSON)
- Strong knowledge of source control: GIT (preferred), SVN…
- Proficient and hands on with Application Servers such as WebSphere, Tomcat
- Web service knowledge: SOAP, REST
- Familiar with development on hybrid mobile application is a plus.
- Preferred: Spring framework, Spring Data REST, Spring boot application, Angular 5+

Education: University or College degree in IT or equivalent.
Experience: at least 3 years of experience in software development.
