Senior Analyst, Data Development

Reporting to an assigned Team Leader, the Data developer is responsible for contributing to meeting user commitments according to plan. The Data developer is responsible for:
• Works with other developers for optimizing in-application SQL statements as necessary, and establishing best practices.
• Uses experiences with data architecture and management to develop and scale SQL databases based on organization’s needs.
• Resolve all database usage issues and come up with ideas and advice that can help avoid such problems in the future.
• Carrying out day-to-day support for reporting system.
• Produce Technical Specification documentation for the assigned works
• Take part in designing, coding and testing database
• Manage delivery of tasks within a given timeline
• Support other tasks as required by supervisor.
• Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements
• Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables
• Provide timely scheduled management reporting

Technical skills:
o Experience with some of the modern relational databases (Oracle/DB2/SQL Server)
o Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL, PL/SQL
o Analyse existing SQL queries for performance improvements
o Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements
o Capable of troubleshooting common database issues
o Knowledge at reporting development with Microsoft SSIS and SSRS

**Education: University or College degree in IT or equivalent.
**Experience: at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
