Overall Job Scope:
The Security Manager is responsible for formulating, implementing, coordinating and monitoring the security, fire prevention and safety program throughout the hotel to ensure the continuous protection of guests, employees and hotel assets

Outcomes to be achieved:
In this position, you are accountable to achieve the outcomes listed below:

Training & development:
• Employees passing probation period have been trained in all essential tasks as per self-leadership assessment form
• Training plans for all employees are prepared, implemented and regularly updated
• A sufficient number of certified OJS skills trainers are available in each outlet to implement the training plans
• Employee performers and high potentials have access to further professional and personal development training as per training plan
• An active talent spotting program is in place to support succession planning and career growth for shining employees.

Coaching & performance review
• All employees complete a self-leadership review and attend a formal performance review before the end of their probation
• On job performance is regularly observed and assessed informally. Good performance is acknowledged, poor performance is coached
• All direct reports receive a formal annual performance review prior to contract renewal

Resort Security
• The hotel is inspected daily and 24 hours per day and all findings are reported to the management
• All employees, guests and suppliers are monitored entering and leaving the resort
• Security regulations as per Standard of Sequence are followed at all times
• CCTV are monitored 24 hours per day and any irregular findings are reported
• Guest and employee lost items are investigated and reported
• All guest and employee incidents regarding safety and security are investigated and reported
• A good relationship with the local police authority is maintained
• On top of hidden relationship/activities in the resort

Lifeguards
• Lifeguards are trained as per international standard for beach and pool rescues
• Lifeguards are trained in first aid and CPR
• Rescue equipment is ready and available at all times
• Lifeguards are on duty during operation hours
• Beach and pool area are in good condition, clean and chairs and daybeds are set up
• All lifeguards demonstrate the Zannier Hotels service behaviours at every point of contact
• The Sequences of Service (SOS) are consistently applied by all lifeguards
• The gym and its equipment is in good condition, clean and regular inspections are carried out

Porter Service
• All porters demonstrate the Zannier Hotels service behaviours at every point of contact
• The Sequences of Service (SOS’) are consistently applied by all porters
• All guest property is handled with care
• Porters are trained to carry out room service deliveries during the night time as per Sequences of Service

Safety & Security Training
• Fire trainings are conducted on a regular basis for all employees
• Fire equipment is checked and maintains as per the set standards

Reporting & Administration
• Daily, weekly and monthly reports are prepared in time and sent to management
• Controls of all furniture, fixtures and equipment are in place and replacements are in line within the budget
• Yearly departmental budget is created with the General Manager and Financial Controller
Other duties are performed as assigned by the Head of Management.
