Overview
Manages and coordinates business and technical projects through all phases of initiation, Planning, Executing, Monitor & Control and Close

Key Accountability
Individual Accountability:
• Responsible for Planning, Executing, Monitor & Control and Close technical and business projects across multiple stakeholders; developing analysis to support process and project improvements
• Manages and coordinates business and technical projects through all phases of initiation, development and implementation; tends to work on waterfall projects
• Works with clients to define and manage the scope, strategy, requirements and implementation of projects
• Ensures that assigned projects are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting client business objectives
• Identifies, analyzes, mitigates, documents, and controls project risks
• Provides effective and regular communication within the project team, stakeholders, sponsors and management
• Identifies resource needs for the project and establishes roles, expectations, and goals with team members
• Defines, documents and completes of moderately complex; few critical inter dependencies
• Assess and manages risks that impede successful project delivery
• Manages project resources to budget
• Improves existing delivery methods and identifies potential areas for improvement
• Communicates clearly to all stakeholders involved
• Has positive impact to specific organizational entities & has some understanding of the nature of the impact
• Usually a top contributor to team's success
• Works with clients to define and manage the scope, strategy, requirements and implementation of projects
• Ensures that assigned projects are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting client business objectives
• Identifies, analyzes, mitigates, document, and control project risks
• Provides effective and regular communication within the project team, stakeholders, sponsors and management
• Identifies resource needs for the project and establishes roles, expectations, and goals with team members
• Participates in negotiation of contract terms and conditions and insures compliance with contract terms for project consultants and vendors
• Manages multiple small and/or medium-sized projects ensuring project deliverable are brought in on time, within budget and quality targets
• Identifies project issues that impact project delivery and escalate to management
• Responsible for assisting in hiring project staff, and developing motivating, coaching, advising and managing the project team
• May manage the technical components of the project or act as manager of personnel, including evaluating personnel
• Liaises between project team, project sponsor and client group

• Some knowledge of technology platforms and environments
• Good understanding of business functions and issues
• Good understanding of annuity products, administration compliance, operations and systems including business desktop applications, and relevant financial products
• Collaborative attitude, willingness to work with team members; able to coach, participate in code reviews, share skills and methods

• Good organizational and problem-solving abilities that enable you to manage through creative abrasion
• Good verbal and written communication; able to effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes
• Post-secondary education or high school diploma and equivalent business experience
• Some experience using a defined project management and/or SDLC methodology preferred
• Agile mindset and Scrum experienced is plus
