SCM Specialist - Buyer

ABB is a global leader in industrial technology. Established in Vietnam in 1993, ABB recently has around 900 employees working in three regions across the country to ensure the nationwide presence of the ABB brand. The Head Office and Transformer Factories are located in Hanoi, High Voltage and Medium Voltage Power Product factories are in Bac Ninh, other branch offices are in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.

Tasks:

ABB Vietnam currently has an opportunity for Buyer who would be responsible for purchasing activity. Joining our team in Hanoi office and reporting to Procurement & Logistics delivery leader, your key areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:

• Identify new suppliers in cooperation with relevant categories.
• Negotiate agreement with main suppliers with lowest cost and best quality also manage the deal for advance payments.
• Manage sourcing requests and provide bid analysis for under thredshold.
• Review and comment on terms and conditions of agreements and liaise with end-users and sourcing team.
• Contract management.
• Manage supplier performance by following on time delivery, quality, lead time etc.
• Maintain the vendor master data record.
• Coordinate with logistics department for import shipment delivery
• Working closely with end-users and requesters to clear GR and IR related issues.
• Continuously analyze and improve process and ensure alignment of every process with company policy.
• Works in close co-ordination with the service delivery team in GBS Bangalore, India.

- To be considered for this role, you should possess university degree in Business Studies with international trading as specialization with minimum 2 years of experience in Procurement/ Supply chain management.
- The role would suit someone who has good knowledge on SAP and has strong communication skills, negotiation skills. You should have strong command over English and Vietnamese language.
