Reporting Line(s): General Manager and Project Director
The Opportunity: Are you an active individual who enjoys sports, fitness, as well as impacting lives in a positive way and is thrilled by executing a sale strategy and exceeding financial KPIs? Under the guidance of the General Manager and Project Director, the Sales Director will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for the SEV portfolio which includes up to 8 calendar events, and includes sponsorship, ticket sales and registration. The individual should have a broad understanding of event sales strategy and understand how to communicate with and leverage a wider team including marketing, creative, accounts and operations departments, to meet the targets set. Individuals with a pre-existing sales network particularly in sports event sales, will have a big advantage.
Main Duties:
• Track and report sales activity in an accurate and meaningful way
• Manage, hire, train, and educate junior and/or freelance staff in team
• Develop creative and innovative methods to engage sponsors and sales targets
• Continue to reinforce company brand through communication with sales targets
• Develop and execute sales strategies to reach business’ KPI for entire SEV event portfolio
• Continuously improve and develop business performance within existing market constraints
• Works closely with the Operations Department to make sponsor logos and benefits are executed
• Work closely with the marketing and communications team to insure delivery of sponsorship benefits
• Utilize IT solutions to evaluate event performance/quality and prepare metrics presentation to plan improvements

Experience/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (events management, hospitality, communications, marketing, finance, behavioral science, sports management) or similarly striking life experience required
• 5+ years prior experience in event sales preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of resources
• Willing to work evenings and weekends during events
• Able to lead team and manage staff training issues
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to negotiate
• Data-driven decision-making skills
• Exceptional writing & communication skills
