Safety Officer

• Manage the HSE team to provide performance to expectation of the Project Management.
• Responsible to enforce and implement overall Health, Safety and Environment policy and guidelines at all times.
• Develop and review all HSE procedures, practices, operational steps, which may affect the HSE of the project employees or the local environment.
• Responsible to identify potential hazards at site and report such hazard potentials and corrective action to the Project Management.
• Conduct daily HSE audit and to complete inspection report.
• Educate and promote awareness among the site employees on HSE aspects through discussion, education and enforcement of HSE regulations.
• Conduct Accident/ Incident Investigation and when necessary with aims to develop corrective action and identify causes.
• Responsible to review machinery and equipment used for construction to ensure safety level, safety certification etc.
• Responsible to inspect firefighting equipment and ensure proper maintenance and validation of such facilities.
• Ensure consistent updates of HSE notice board and ensure effective use of the notice board.
• Recommend and organize awareness and competition programs.

*Required experiences and Skills:
• Experience: 3-5 years in a relevant position in a Japanese or international company
• Advance level of English (speaking, writing)
• Good at reporting
• Good understanding of environmental and health & safety laws and legal processes
• Good coaching/training skills

*Education level:
• University graduate in any discipline;
• Degree or Diploma in HSE Engineering is a plus

*Others:
• Working time: 8.5 hours/week day (Monday – Friday) and Saturday morning; two Saturdays off per month.
