Risk and Control Analyst

Role Objective

The Role Holder is responsible for the oversight of business entity’s identification and mitigation of risks. This role will work closely with all business units to ensure robust control environment in place for sustainable on-going business, as well as act as a liaison with Regional Control for close alignment of country practices and regional standards.

Principal Responsibilities

• Manager Control Assessment (MCA) Program management: Participate in the country coordination for GCC MCAs and the continuous monitoring of the program. This role requires in-depth study and understanding of all processes and functions under the Consumer business with the aim for a proactive approach to the self-identification and mitigation of risk.
• This role will work closely with all functions to provide counsel as to potential process improvement and control requirement for better business performance within a sustainable control environment;
• Issue and Corrective Action Plan (CAP) management: Work closely with business units in identifying issues and supporting them to review/ validate business respective Corrective Action Plans for the iCAPS system with appropriate action steps and realistic target dates, monitoring CAP progress, proactively escalating ‘at-risk’ CAPs and validating closed CAPs.
• Lessons Learned initiatives: Coordinate with regional team and relevant in-country stakeholders for the effective implementation of regional good-practices.
• Participate in the implementation of Consumer Operation Oversight framework to ensure robust control environment in place.
• Engage in Internal Audit and regulatory reviews of Consumer businesses.
• Join In-business Control (IBC) regional/ local initiatives (e.g. country-level deployment of Regional Consumer Controls Procedures Manual (RCCPM)
• Review and provide comments/ input to business local process/ procedures in alignment with the required control standards.

Role Requirement:

• Qualification (minimum requirements for the role): Bachelor’s Degree
• Knowledge and Experience:
 Minimum of 2 years in finance/ banking business, related fields or equivalent experience;
 Experience of working in operational risk and control management areas is preferred;
 In-depth understanding of operational risks, compliance and legal matters, audit standards, and operational procedures;
 Meticulous, concise, clear and impactful
 Excellent judgment and assessment skills
 Excellent in identification and escalation of issues with effective corrective action plans
 Excellent organization and interpersonal communication skills;
 Excellent in writing and speaking skills with ability to deliver training and presentation to various target audience
 Ability to work with minimal-to-nil supervision.
