Rice Export Manager

We are looking for a Rice expert to oversee implementation of the Export business for Vinh Phat Wilmar Corporation (VWRC). In particular the manager will oversee activities supporting the introduction of export-oriented rice varieties and development of the Jasmine rice market.
The major role & responsibilities includes:
• Identify new business opportunities by tapping the potential customers from different countries
• Plan, design, develop and implement different sales activities by researching the customer's needs and requirements
• Take initiative and efforts to develop constructive and effective solutions to any issues that slow down or hamper the export procedures and activities
• Support testing, approving, production and introduction of suitable varieties.
• Review existing studies and other development practitioners’ activities in promoting export in overseas marketing
• Constantly review distributor's performance and monitor their work, so that relevant information can be provided to the management
• Develop yearly plans and budgets, as well as prepare regular reports on activities
• Contribute to the overall management of the VWRC as required.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
• Background in marketing, sales, business administration and management
• Ten or more years’ professional experience related to the Rice business from both an agricultural as well as a commercial perspective
• Experience in Products Packaging, Costing ,Documentation, Banking , Vendors, International Export Exposure
• Demonstrated knowledge of rice production issues and awareness of the latest developments in Asia
• Experience of managing a team in a multicultural setting.
