Mô tả công việc

I. OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:
The incumbent in the position is responsible for maximizing yield for all room reservations, ensuring up-selling during demand periods and conversion over need periods. Other key responsibilities entail reviewing daily of the reservations staff daily room sale management and provide training where necessary, inventory control, planning and reports generation as appropriate and forecasting.

II. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manages room inventory to achieve optimum results in Occupancy, Average rate and Revenue, reviewing daily reservations accuracy, rates compliance from segment and source, system close-out when necessary and GDS rates sale-ability.
2. Work closely with Reservation Manager to motivate an aggressive team skillful at up-selling and/or conversion as required by the business demand whilst ensuring customer service and satisfaction.
3. Maintains good working relations with other departments, particularly Front Office and keeps close contacts with regular customers ensuring their needs are identified and relayed to concerned departments for service delivery.
4. Controls rates for group business, low yield rooms allocations, complimentary and upgrading, group space blockage and timely wash, especially during the peak season and/or high demand days when expected occupancy is above 85%.
5. Works closely with Corporate Office, Trust and Leading Hotels of the World with updated hotel information and room facilitates sale on a regular basis. Reviews Trust and GDS rates and availability, keeping sufficient inventory for high yield segments.
6. Verifies that all salable contracted rates are loaded in the GDS and Fidelio system for ease of reservations by companies worldwide.
7. Checks regularly and disseminates information on market situation including; weekly check and report on booking trend in the market through exchanges with competitors, test calls and reports on seasonal rates book-able at competitor hotels, etc.
8. Works with sales people to analyze and forecast the Rooms business on a daily, weekly and monthly (3-months rolling forecast) in a timely manner to ensure concerned department has sufficient time to work on their areas.
9. Assists in the preparation of the annual rooms' budget and the manning guide for reservations and manages them within budget guidelines.
10. Accomplishes a set of administrative duties such as attending meeting, writing reports, and other duties relevant to the job function.

Yêu cầu ứng viên

I. PROFILE:
EDUCATION AND TRAINING: Diploma in Business Administration or Hotel Management; University Degree

LANGUAGES: English Good level, written & spoken

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software: Word and Excel
- Proficiency in Fidelio System
- Knowledge on Yield and Revenue Management Systems

WORK EXPERIENCE IN OTHER COMPANIES (IN CASE OF EXTERNAL SELECTION): Minimum of 3 year experience in Reservations Department with at least 1 year as Revenue Manager or performing similar yield management function

WORK EXPERIENCE IN MELIA HOTELS INTERNATIONAL (IN CASE OF INTERNAL PROMOTION): 1 year in the same position in hotels of similar category and services

II. Required Experience/Skills Detail:
- Minimum 3 years experience at the same position in 4 or 5 star hotel
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written (English)
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Hotel Management, Tourism or Economic Studies
- Highly computer literate with a high level command of Excel
- Strong organization, negotiation and leadership skills
- Re-banding or pre-opening experience is a plus
