Using deep image processing, computer vision and machine learning know-how, Personify is redefining the way people communicate with video. Personify's technology enables people to immerse themselves into a shared virtual space, using a virtual green screen! We serve 122,000 users worldwide and growing.
As a Personify Research Engineer R&D, you will contribute to the development and improvement of our core algorithms / SDKs. Those core algorithms / SDKs will be used in Personify existing products, such as ChromaCam (www.chromacam.me) and Presenter (www.personifyinc.com) and beyond to provide better and more personal way for people to interact with each other using video, which serving 122,000 users worldwide and counting!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Research and invent patentable algorithms in our cutting-edge research projects.
• Convert research ideas into high-quality production code.
• Analyze and formulate industrial needs into solvable problems and solve them.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree, 2 years experience. MS or PhD degree is a strong plus.
• Passion in doing research.
• Excellent in troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Good experienced in end-to-end quality software development process and Agile methodology.
• Fluent in practical English.
• Good team player and quick learner.
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong in Image/Video processing and Computer Vision.
--and/or--
• Strong in Machine Learning or Deep Learning (AI)
• Solid with C++/C++11 STL, boost, opencv, cmake, OOP and software design patterns.
• Strong in algorithm is a plus (or a must for senior).
• GPU parallel programming is a plus.
• Familiar with Python and/or Matlab is a plus.
• Experienced in code optimizations, design of large software, multithreading and asynchronous concepts, cross platform development is a plus.
