Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) is an active player in Vietnam’s agribusiness sector and has been since 1998. Our portfolio in the country includes coffee, grains, oil-seeds and rice. Harnessing more than 165 years of global industry experience, we are focused on growing our presence in Vietnam and strengthening our position as a responsible and trusted merchandiser of agri-commodities. Over the years, LDC has nurtured strong strategic relationships with Vietnamese suppliers, customers and joint venture partners who remain important contributors to our development in the region. Since we first established operations in Vietnam in 1998, we have steadily expanded our business and asset footprint while creating numerous job opportunities for the local community. We originate, process, merchandize, store and distribute local agricultural products domestically and for export. Arabica and Robusta coffee varieties are the crops we are most active in. * Grains and Oil-seeds – We merchandise and distribute grains and oil-seeds to local agro-industrial players, mostly within the animal feed sector. * Coffee – We originate, process, store and merchandise coffee for both the local and export markets. LDC manages a comprehensive sustainability coffee program that is aimed at working with local farmers to improve the yield and quality of Vietnamese coffee production, while minimizing any environmental impact. * Rice - We originate and export rice from Vietnam.
