Requirements & Configuration Manager

Mission
The Requirements & Configuration Manager (RCM) supports the Project Management, cooperates with the Project Technical Manager and Subgroups Chief Engineers in order to define a project configuration and manage the changes and requirements.
The RCM is responsible for the Requirement management and Configuration & Change Management processes towards the Project Team and ultimate Customer, throughout the project life cycle.
The RCM evaluates the KPIs and keeps the process follow-up under control.
He coordinates and leads the committees (CCB) periodically to approve or reject the engineering changes, communicate the Baseline and follow the requirements coverage status.

Responsibilities:

Requirements Manager responsibilities include:
Coordinate activities between project entities with regard to requirements coverage
Use the Requirement Management database DOORS (including exported file format)
Formalize and build traceability matrix using links
Ensure consistency and completeness in the database
Pilot clarification/negotiation meetings with stakeholders and entities
Report on requirement indicators to his project hierarchy

Configuration Manager responsibilities include:
Apply the Configuration Management Plan and related procedures
Manage the Configuration Item List (Consortium level) and the Change register
Instigate, monitor and record the technical review, impact assessment and approval of Change Requests
Ensure that project documents, and all other identified configuration documents, are updated for the as-built configuration following the implementation of the changes approved.
Be responsible for scheduling and facilitating Change Review Boards
Report to the Project Technical Manager (or deputy) on the status of progress by the project relating to close-out of Change Requests
Define, update and issue the baselines of the consortium
Prepare agenda and minutes of the CCB meeting
Monitors and reports Configuration Management KPI status, issues, corrective actions at CP06 Management level

Educational Requirements
Master University Degree in Engineering or equivalent

Technical Knowledge / Experience
• Experience in Configuration management and/or Requirements management
• Knowledge of the requirement management tool : IBM Rational DOORS
