Renewable Technology Specialist

*Summary
We are seeking a qualified, motivated individual to join our VBF Power and Energy Team as a Renewable Technology Specialist full-time to assess PDP8 drafts on understanding impact for implementing by private sector with practical business strategies and communicate through variety of means including public presentations. As part of our team, you collaborate with Head of VBF P&EWG/ECF PD, Coordinator and Executive Assistant. Review energy matters to determine capabilities with VBF MVEP 2.0 and Government Decision 55 and Power Development Planning. Papers on new GOV decision and position of VBF PEWG. Delivering 4 reports Information, Education and Information from MVEP to relevant stakeholders. This role requires you to be able to quickly understand and address the technical infrastructure of a large and dynamic planning of Energy sector and especially RE, and our ideal candidate is a highly organized self-starter with considerable prior experience in a relevant field, particularly with experience in paper writings in English and Vietnamese.

*Duties and Responsibilities
• Collaborate with leadership and executive assistant to determine work plan
• Create comprehensive procedural roadmaps to implement successful IEC of MVEP reports
• Create and present reports to stakeholders and decision-makers
• Liaise in cooperation with Coordinator in meetings with GOV and stakeholders and VBF PEWG meetings

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Prior professional experience with a focus on professional papers in energy
• Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Background information:
1. VBF PEWG Team Description
The Team for Sustainable Energy Engagement will be required to:
• Communicate the advocacy position of the group effectively to all stakeholders and create effective alliances to promote the group’s sustainable renewable energy objectives;
• Provide assistance to the Government of Vietnam to manage the transfer of the burden of investment in renewable energy generation and energy efficiency to the private sector within the strategic plan to fully liberalize the energy market by 2022;
• Manage the partnership relations with the Government of Vietnam Government Ministries (see above), The Office of the Government, Communist Party of Vietnam and National Assembly;
• Attract further financial support to assist VBF PESWG in renewable energy and energy efficiency;
• Build relationships with the global climate finance bodies – e.g. Green Climate Fund, UK International Climate Fund, DGGF and promote those bodies in Vietnam to support members investment and business growth in renewable energy;
• Manage relations with the key national chamber groups – e.g. VCCI, Japan, Korea, EuroCham, USA, UK;
• Attract new members in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency to the VBF Power and Energy Sub Working Group;
• Manage relations with philanthropic supporters, provide impact reports, management information;
• Manage relations with the public sector donor groups active in the Vietnam renewable power markets, e.g. ADB, WB, KfW, AfD, GIZ, US AID/VLEEP;
• Help VBF P&E Chairman to manage an office and staff (x1), budget and accounting and tax;
• Provide management reporting and forecasts to the Steering/Management Committee of VBF Power and Energy WG.
