Quality Supervisor

• Ensure that an effective PPE quality management system is operated and that all regulatory obligations of the manufacturing are fulfilled,
• Collaborate with the Head of Production and the Head of Quality Control in order to achieve and maintain the required quality and compliance standards,
• Perform batch certification and batch release,
• Perform final control of PPE according to the Uvex standards & guidelines,
• Supervision and inspection of product quality within the production,
• Supervision of incoming goods in the production,
• Issue of inspection records and reports (paper or electronically),
• Continuous communication with the suppliers to improve product quality,
• Monitor and perform physical and chemical lab tests at the suppliers or with external labs,
• Ensure compliance with the conditions of the Marketing Authorization (e.g. certifications acc. Product norms) and interact with the relevant department at day to day business level,
• Provide QA/QC and GMP consultancy and training,
• Ensure the QA agreements with suppliers and subcontractors understood and fulfilled,
• Apply high ethical standards and professional conduct with clients and with the authorities on the bases of a social standard,
• Presence during regulatory inspections and involvement in communications with quality team from client’s facility,
• Reporting to the Uvex safety HQ in Germany - depending on the assignment the job holder will have a professional reporting line to the local quality team and Uvex manufacturing sites,
• Monitoring of orders & deliver dates from Uvex as well as the quantity,
• Support of the product development process for shoes and uppers regarding changes during development, timelines, testing a.s.o. in strong cooperation with the product development dept. in Fürth/Germany, especially following the product development in all steps with the concerned organisations of the supplier(s)
• Specialized project work.

*** Specialist skills:
• University master or bachelor degree in techniques/engineering,
• Experience in shoes/textile/leather production
• Knowledge of product inspections (incoming / intermediate / final inspection),
• Demonstrate expertise regarding quality assurance (QA), good manufacturing practices (GMP) including good distribution practice (GDP) and quality control (QC) in interactions with clients, Uvex Safety HQs, and other interested parties,
• Knowledge of product and process related technology (e.g. injection molding),
• Experience in project management as well as development processes,
• Monitoring of visible conditions at the suppliers and make sure that they are in
• Compliance with Uvex social standards (e.g. health and safety regulations, discrimination, working hours etc.)

• Reject rates in productions (orders/no. of products),
• Customer complaints,
• Quality performance of supplier.

• Member of Uvex safety Sourcing Office China (SOC) team
• supervised by team leader Uvex safety SOC technical and output wise,
• supervised by German Industry and Commerce Vietnam administrative wise,
• based in greater Ho-Chi-Minh-City area,
• reporting line to Quality department / PM department of related Uvex safety Business Unit.
