Quality Specialist For Textile Shoes Production

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Specialist (QC) for Footwear Industry in the region of Vietnam and neighboring countries.

As part of the Footwear team, the applicant will be responsible for in-line Quality Control and Final Inspection on sport shoes for our brands SALEWA and DYNAFIT:

Our supplying factories for these products are mainly based in Vietnam (Hanoi and HCMC area) and a small percentage of our products are produced in Cambodia (Phnom Penh area).
The factories in Vietnam have to be visited on a monthly basis while the factory in Cambodia requires attendance of our QC only on demand (usually around 4 times a year).
The Applicant will work closely together with our Quality Control Team based in Italy and HCMC.

The work package involves:
> Support developing projects from Industrialization to Carry-Over production
> Quality Inspections, Reporting and Record Keeping
> Communication of the quality issues with the supplying factories and Quality Management in Italy and Vietnam
> Applicant will be travelling self-organized according to production and industrialization schedules

We are looking to hire on a Freelance basis and therefore request you to provide your expected salary on a monthly basis (before tax) with your application.

We prefer applicants from Hanoi area, as most of the activities will be in this area. But we are also willing to consider applicants from different areas of Vietnam.
Details of the contract are subject to qualification and work experience of the applicant.

> self motivated and able to set priorities
> several years of experience in Footwear production and Quality Control
> very good technical understanding of products and processes to support SALEWA/DYNAFIT Product Development and Supplier Factory when needed
> excellent communication skills with colleagues, suppliers and supervisor
> good communication skills (English) and efficiently skilled in the usual tools (MS Office, Excel,...)
> able to work in a small team and contribute to a common target
> problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure when needed
