Quality Process Specialist (HCM) - Apparel

Position Summary:

- Key Contact in the Region for Quality Process Management of Columbia Sportswear Company source base.
- Ensure Right First Time delivery through Product Engineering and Process Engineering engagements within Columbia Sportswear Company supply chain for sourcing of Best in Class Product.
- Coach / Train / Drive Vendor Base on a 'Quality Embedded Value Chain' from Product Development until Bulk execution to Ensure Consumer Satisfaction.
- Influence Vendor Senior Management to adopt new Manufacturing & Quality Management Techniques that positively impact their manufacturing processes – Promote Change to evolve into an efficient, “Best in Class Organization”
- Ensure Columbia Apparel and Accessory products meet or exceed customer, consumer, and governmental expectations and regulations through the application of prevention based quality processes and tools.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

- Lead Implementation of CSC Factory Assessment Program Provide a variety of solutions to accommodate the varied business needs and conditions, thus leading to specific sets of tailored decisions while determining the process enhancers, Continuous Improvement opportunities to deliver BEST IN CLASS product.
- Drive QFI & VQE -Empowerment programs at a factory level.
- Ensure Brand/Regions Expectations are delivered.
- Establish Product Performance standards, through Upstream Product Risk assessment process.
- Deliver Quality Readiness at a style level through an efficient VQE program.
- Validate the reproducibility of the style in bulk, and address the potential failures caused due to design/engineering, raw materials & manufacturing process.
- Advise Manufacturing teams on best practices, principles and standards for both individual products and overall bulk manufacturing processes
- Manage CSC Strategic Product Audit Program
- Manage Non Conformance Issue/ Customer Complaints resolution and Close the loop process.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and design quality processes within Regional LO to enable Best in class manufacturing.

Education/Qualification:
 
- University Degree preferred (Industrial engineering, technical Apparel or Textile Science Manufacturing.)
- Prefer garment quality auditor or garment/shoes process engineer, lean/6sigma green belt implementer.
  
Must Haves:
- Minimum 3 Years Industry Experience in apparel Manufacturing or apparel Quality management positions
Apparel/Textile/Shoes manufacturing knowledge of construction/technical, process engineer, preferred quality control procedures. Good analytical skills. Good learner
- TQM Knowledge
- Fluency in English & Strong Presentation skills
- Proficiency in using basic Computer program. Including MS Office, word, excel and Power point.
- Proficient in operating independently, while following general guidelines and direction
- Ability to Travel domestically, within Asia, and internationally
- Experience and knowledge of quality control/assurance processes and procedures Quality Systems Assessment & Audit Skills

Desirable:

- Knowledge on Lean Principles
- Certification in Lean Management / Quality Audit/ Quality Engineering & 6 Sigma.
- Practical pattern making, grading, and marker experience and knowledge.
