Quality Improvement Supervisor

a. Reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organization including the medical records. Ensure the Management team, top and middle management and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of international and local healthcare standards such as JCI hospital standards and MOH.
b. Monitors compliance of units/departments to local regulatory and international accreditation standards (MOH and JCI) including medical records compliance.
c. Reviews, updates and ensures that all hospital plans, programs, policies and procedures, and other official documents of the hospital in a collaborative process are aligned and in compliance with local and international accreditation standards.
d. Ensures proper dissemination of policies, procedures, plans, programs, guidelines, memos and activities in compliance with local regulatory and international hospital standards.
e. Trains, as appropriate, hospital staff on accreditation standards and applicable hospital policies and procedures.
f. Updates the Quality Improvement and Risk Manager and Quality Management Executives of relevant laws and regulatory standards such as MOH and other related to health care services.
g. Supervises and coordinates the JCI Training together with the JCI training trainers team for compliance and in medical records.
h. Collaborates and communicates with MOH, DOH and other local regulatory agencies including JCI together with Quality Improvement and Risk Manager about issues and concerns regarding safety and health care standards, compliance, medical records.
i. Coordinates with the Internal Quality Surveyor/s to:
• Plan and carry out internal quality survey activities
• Ensure continuous training of IQ surveyors on all applicable standards
• Follow-up IQS related corrective action and performance improvement of units/departments
j. Actively supports and participates in quality and safety-related activities, department/committee meetings, programs and other activities related to the identified managerial structures, processes and outcomes.
k. Leads the collaboration with other departments (e.g., Risk Management, Medical Department, Nursing Department, etc.) to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution.
l. Monitoring and reporting results of the compliance/ethics efforts of the hospital and in providing guidance for the senior management team on matters relating to compliance and medical records. Implement all necessary actions to ensure achievement of the objectives of an effective compliance of local regulations and international accreditation.
m. Assist in the JCI Accreditation Process and MOH Hospital Quality Standards on developing and controlling the timeline for completion of all tasks associated therewith
n. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

a. Qualification:
• Graduate of any four (4) year Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, arts, or related fields
• Preferably with certification in Quality Management and Patient Safety, Risk Management
b. Experience:
• Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a Quality role in a hospital or healthcare field
• Knowledge with JCI and MOH standards on medical records, quality or preferably with JCI experience
c. Skills and knowledge:
• With experiential knowledge of total quality management principles, strategic planning, and policy development is required
• Proficient in MS office applications and programs related to statistics, data collection and analysis
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) for both English and Vietnamese
• Knowledge of elementary statistics, sampling theory and error analysis techniques preferred
• Planning and organizational abilities, e.g.
o Highly motivated self-starter
o Ability to priorities workload and work flexibly
o Ability to meet deadlines with tight timescales
• Interpersonal /Communication Skills:
o Ability to relate well both verbally and in writing with staff all levels in the organization
o Ability to work effectively on own initiative and within different teams
o Ability to give clear oral presentations and training in both groups and individually
o Ability to write clear reports appropriate to requirements.

• Team player and able to take leadership role if requested
