Quality Engineer (Plastic Molding Field)

** Job Purpose :
• To ensure that products are manufactured with high quality, efficiently, on-time, to specification, in a cost effective and safe manner.
• To ensure quality improvement in the area of materials, process, product and system.
• To anticipate potential failures before occurrence.
• To handle non-conformity feedback from internal and external.
• To train and qualify staff and operators to conform to procedures and requirements.

** Major Accountabilities :
Products-Process Quality:
• Sustain product yield and work with the relevant teams to resolve quality issue of process, products which are above 98% yield.
• Follow up products and process audit by both internal and external.
• Ensure products and processes are conformed to requirements through audits.
• Work with production to ensure all quality data will be record correctly and on time.
• Accountable for product quality through review of Pilot-run report and product quality release.
• Accountable for establish clear and standardized quality criteria for TPU (e.g: cosmetic of products, quality requirement from customers…).
• Liaise and interface with Strategic QM for company QA procedures, strategy and standards.
• Release work instruction for operators to ensure quality of products-processes meet customer’s requirement.
• Train, certify and audit staff and Operators to ensure processes are conformed to requirements, especially Pepperl-Fuchs process fundamental rules.
• Involve in continuous learning and improvement activities.

** Incident management:
• Contact with relevant for worldwide stock check and leading problem solving when receiving customer complain, closing report on time.
• Follow up opened tasks in QSYS to ensure it is closed effetely and on time.
• Work with relevant to take corrective and preventive actions for non-conformities found by external and internal audit.
• Contact to suppliers to solve quality issue of raw material and closing supplier complaint on time.
• Train and coach Staff and Operators on quality standards.
• To perform any other work or projects as assigned by superior.

** Education :
• Engineering degree or similar level education.
• Master degree of quality is referable.

** Languages:
• English and Vietnamese are mandatory; German and other Asian language is a plug.

** Experience:
• More than 2 years’ experience in product-process quality in plastic molding field.
• Good knowledge of using statistical tools and lean methodology for continuous improvement.
• Used to lead quality improvement project
• Good communication in English with customers, external auditors and suppliers.
• Experience in making work instruction for operators.
• Experience in production audit.

** Specific Knowledge:
• Using A3, 8D to solve problem.
• Able to do risk assessment for assembly manufacturing (PCBA, Built Box).
• Understand basic characteristic of material: material parts; plastic inject mod components, cable assembly, and electronic components.
• Internal auditor certification.
