QC Technician

JOB PURPOSE:
Follow the QC procedures and work instruction to ensure the quality of Raw Materials and finished goods of PU and AdMat divisions meets product specification by carrying out all tests to meet business requirement with safe and compliance to Lab. safety standard. Participate in any continuous improvements to manufacturing processes..

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Responsible to conduct the chemical and/or physical test(if need) by using standard quality control method and procedures of chemical and physical properties testing for raw material use in production and finished product to supply to customers. The responsible are cover but not limit to the activities as follow

1.1 To ensure that the quality of finished products meets manufacturing or agreed customer specification by:
- Test and release only raw materials with specify quality under manufacturing specification for use in production by using the Huntsman Quality Control standard and procedures.
- Conducting the quality control testing prescribed for each product prior to their specification for sale.
- Conduct the quality control monitoring for all retained sample and return product from customer complaint or according to the business requirement.
- Operate equipment according to the set of standard working procedures in HMV, ISO database and Quality control database. - Responsible to deliver QC tools / equipment preventive maintenance and calibration as per yearly schedule.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records/ document control

1.2 Maximize the use of QC laboratory tools by:
- Maintaining current, all records pertaining to material testing in SAP, manual document record (exe: in process QC record) and equipment calibration
- Ensuring an adequate supply of laboratory consumables
- Ensuring equipment is maintained according to schedule, and prioritizing own daily activities

1.3 Work closely with production team to provide clear and accurate advice for each batch adjustment (if needed), where necessary, recognising abnormal process conditions or occurrences and participating in their correction.

2. Be SAP QA user with responsible to update test data into QA SAP module for quality control daily task. Submit to QA, QC Team Leader to approve for release to use or sell.

3. Responsible to manage and monitor all Block, Slow & Expire stock and report to QA, QC Team Leader for stock management decision.

4. On time monthly QC performance report to QA, QC Team Leader.

5. Compliance on QC daily task with ISO QC procedures, working instructions, and proposes for review and update if necessary.

1. Hold the degree of chemistry (preferred) or chemical engineering
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience in QC in Chemical manufacturing
3. Sufficient in written and spoken English
4. Proficient in MS Office application
5. SAP QA module for Quality control is an advantage
6. Proactive , good analytical skill and strong decision making,
7. Good time management by deliver on time, accurate analytical data
8. Positive cooperation
9. Interpersonal skill which enable to communicate to people in different culture
10. Outgoing personally and result oriented
