QC/QA Manager

At this moment the Company is looking for an experienced QUALITY CONTROL/ ASSURANCE MANAGER (QC/QA Manager) to work in the QC/QA Department in Decotex Long An branch in Tan Duc Industrial Park, Duc Hoa District, Long An Province.
In this challenging position, you will be the Manager of a department of 22 staff within the company. You will report directly to the Vice Director of Operations. You will also have managed relations with our key sub-contractors and handled other outside parties (outside quality inspection companies, testing labs,…). To meet with the requirements of the job, we expect any applicant to speak fluent in English and Vietnamese, be self-confident and independent in the work. We prefer applicants with experience in textile industry and at least 4 years experience in senior management or supervisor positions in the field of QC/QA.

CONTEXT
1. Report directly to Vice Director of Operations, and also works with the General Director of the company on strategic, HR and organizational matters;
2. Senior Manager in Textile/Garment field;
3. Decotex office and factories are located in Tan Binh Industrial Park, Tan Phu District, HCMC and Decotex Long An branch in Tan Duc Industrial Park, Duc Hoa District, Long An Province.
4. Business trips abroad (Thailand, Germany, China ...) may be requested from time to time.

JOB CONTENT
Main responsibilities of a Quality Control/Assurance Manager is to work on quality of our products from the fabric knitting process, fabric processing, fabric cutting and sewing, packing until shipping process.

Detailed description of the job:
1. Devise and establish a company's quality procedures, standards and specifications;
2. Review customer requirements and making sure they are met;
3. Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers;
4. Set standards for quality as well as health and safety;
5. Make sure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national standards;
6. Look at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency;
7. Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff;
8. Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures;
9. Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports;
10. Make suggestions for changes and improvements and how to implement them;
11. Use relevant quality tools and make sure managers and other staff understand how to improve the business;
12. Make sure the company is working as effectively as possible to keep up with competitors;
13. Develop quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identify critical control points and preventive measures; establish critical limits, monitor procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures;
14. Validate quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measure production; document evidence; determine operational and performance qualification; write and update quality assurance procedures.
15. Maintain and improve product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigate customer complaints; collaborate with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods
16. Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations
17. Have knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and applications for quality.
18. Be responsible for company audits in regards of QA/QC department.
19. Other jobs as required by the Management of Company.

Job Dimension:
1. Internal interaction: C&S, Knitting, Finishing, Sales/Customer Service, Design, Planning, Inventory, Accounting, HR&Admin, Purchasing, Import-Export, Industrial Engineering.
2. External interaction: work with fabric processors and suppliers on quality requirements and issues, and testing centers.
3. Number of employees (appr.): 22 employees, including 1 assistant, 1 data clerk, 2 fabric inspection group leaders, 8 fabric quality inspectors, 10 in-process quality inspectors.

1. Must be familiar in working with fabric.
2. Male or strong female. University graduation or similar qualification
3. Background in textile is prefered.
4. Very good communication skills.
5. Good sense of responsibilities and ethics.
6. Can work in pressure working environment.
7. Fluent English and Vietnamese.
8. Note: Decotex is not a very big, but midsized company but production is very complex.
9. Computer skills required (MS Office: Word, Excel).
OTHERS
1. Salary: Competitive, to be negotiated. Salary shall be in VND as basic salary (including employee’s 10.5% mandatory insurances, PIT).
2. Two-month probation time. Sign labor contract and join mandatory insurance as required by law.
3. Benefits and holidays: According to Vietnamese Labor Laws and company's policy.
4. Review salary yearly. 13th month salary.
5. Working time: 48 hours/ week, 4 Sundays OFF/ month. 12 annual leaves/ year.
