QA/QC Manager

- Review and understand the contract, each subcontract and the plans and specifications in order to assist the Project Manager in development of the onsite procedures
- Formulate quality plan and quality control plans on the site.
- Formulate and update quality methods and procedures.
- Formulate method of statements for installation and testing and commissioning,
- Verify and document that all materials received for the project are in conformance with the approved submittal, are handled and stored appropriately and are acceptable for use in the project
- Conduct weekly QC meetings with the superintendentsite staff and managers and provide written minutes as described in project specific contract documents
- Ensure all installation follow approved drawings with good workmanship and free from any physical damages.
- Supervises the Quality Control functions/activities of a project or its parts, including Quality Control inspection schedules and the collection of Quality Records.
- Supports the construction project managers in dealing with the client for all the quality matters.
- Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications by direct review and by leveraging the knowledge and experience of others in the project team when necessary
- Provide daily QC reports that reinforce activities that are being constructed in conformance with each specific project's established standard and constructively confronts non-comformances to produce the desired outcome in a timely manager.
- Conduct preparatory, initial and follow-up meetings to establish an understanding of the standards of care desired for each definable feature of work
- Create, update and maintain the project submittal log and all other project specific quality control reports
- Assesses the implementation of the quality plan and quality control plans on the site.
- Allocates quality control personnel to the various areas of site activity.
- Supervises inspections, reports and the documentation issued by inspectors and collect and file the required quality Records.
- Evaluates the qualifications of welders and Non Destructive Test-NDT technicians with regard to the activities assigned.
- Evaluates the qualifications of inspection personnel.
- Supports the construction roles in the management and control of subcontractors.
- Supports and participate to all the internal/external audits.
- Coordinate the relevant tracking systems for correct identification of materials.
- Supervises the correct equipment calibration management activities.
- Prepare welding procedures (WP) and supports the Welding & Non Destructive Test-NDT qualification activities.
- Cooperate with the project manager/engineer to do analysis of non conformities.
- Supervises inspection of defects
- Coordinate and documents the testing and commissioning of building systems
- Perform quality control testing and inspection in compliance with contract requirements and company best practices
- Ability to work under pressure
- Willing to travel and move depending on project locations

- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in the construction industry with a general contractor engaged in general building construction
- Knowledge of a wide range of construction materials, methods, and techniques
- Combination of high school diploma with QC experience and certifications will be considered
- Proficient with computer software used in the construction industry
- OSHA 30-hour certification
- Ability to speak clearly and exercise good judgment
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work remote locations
- Ability to travel and move depending on project locations
