POSITION/JOB TITLE: QA Engineer
EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: EXEMPT
LOCATION: Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam
DEPARTMENT: Apparel/Accessories
REPORTS TO: QA Manager

SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may also be assigned.
• Can take the leader to work with factory production team/commercialization team on quality improvements and action plans.
• Can take the leader to work with factory quality team on quality control management, final inspector’s training as well as daily quality monitoring.
• Carry on production line audit and SOP (standard operational process) follow up.
• Carry on production orders final inspection.
• Key in quality report in brand system and make monthly report.
• Work with brand planning team on production schedule monitoring.
• Work with the brand cost team on data collection.
• Work with factory CI team on reduce the waste on manufacturing Excellent. Lean back ground is needed.
• Work with factory chemical team on VOC reduction and RSL compliance.
• Work with factory Lab on raw material tests as well as FGT test on daily basis.
• Work with brand commercialization team to set up the correct SOP, attend the production trial and carry on the initial production order inspection.
• Work with brand development team on extremes approval, pattern trial as well as production trial to ensure mass production quality is good to go.
• Can take the leader to work with brand Tier2 suppliers on quality and on time delivery.
• Communication with HQ/direct report on daily basis.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
6 years or above footwear experience in quality and commercialization is required, experience with top brands will be the priority.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Experience in the sports footwear industry required. Good understanding in quality control, sample review and process of cutting to packing. Overseas manufacturing experience preferred. Knowledge of footwear/accessory construction, material construction and properties, textile manufacturing, costing, pattern making, mold engineering and materials required. Good communication and computer (word, spreadsheet applications, etc.) skills.
Ability to work both independently and cooperatively with a diverse group of people.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Fluent in English listening, speaking and writing with College or above education.
