Purchasing – Sourcing Manager

* PRIMARY FUNCTION: Manages the day to day procurement and sourcing operations. Sourcing duties will include handling the company’s end to end sourcing operations; to appraise and improve the sourcing activities by analyzing the company’s spending, supplying partnerships and new possibilities.

* ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Discover and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers
- Communicates with FPC, Controls, and Fluids divisions regarding new product developments, processes, and tech transfers.
- Represents the company and the interests thereof in all associations with outside suppliers or potential suppliers.
- This position must adhere to all requirements of the safety program
- This position will require for travel to visit suppliers in the region

* Purchasing Functions
- Approves and controls purchasing functions within the Company.
- Ensure that purchasing documents are properly completed
- Furnishes purchasing analysis and cost data for use in scheduling, planning, budgeting, and other functional activities.
- Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
- Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques
- Reviews cost of materials. Pursues cost reductions through alternate sourcing, approved substitute materials, improved production methods, etc.
- Analyze markets; recommend major purchases of materials and supplies based on anticipated changes in prices or unusual availability situations
- Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditures
- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.

* Sourcing Functions
- Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies
- Assesses vendor capabilities, develops alternate sources, and evaluates vendor performance.
- Conducts supplier analysis, evaluates potential suppliers, and partners with Deltrol Controls and Deltrol Fluid Products to manage the supplier qualification process.
- Works with Deltrol Corp Sourcing Team to find high quality, low cost suppliers.
- Manages the sampling and product approval process for Deltrol Corp projects.
- Other duties as assigned by GD/MD

REPORTING / WORKING RELATIONSHIP:
- Reports to the Managing Director. Interfaces with the FPC Manufacturing Manager, Quality Control Supervisor, Finance Manager, Production Scheduler and the Import/Export Service Coordinator. Interfaces with Deltrol Corp. Purchasing groups, Engineering groups, Quality groups, and other related departments and personnel as required by specific projects.

* Working time: 5 days per week, from Monday to Friday (Saturday and Sunday are weekends)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- College Degree or certification preferred, minimum five (5) years purchasing experience.

COMMENTS:
- Performance shall be measured in relation to predetermined standards of performance agreed upon with the MD at the beginning of each year.
