Purchasing Manager

• Purchasing:
o Implement purchasing policy and purchasing system for the plant
o Run the "purchase request/purchase order/reception of goods'' system and its links with the Finance & Accounting Department smoothly
o Sourcing of local suppliers and purchase consumables for all departments
o Optimize the purchasing strategy in order to keep the stock level at a minimum to guarantee a smooth operation and minimize costs
o Responsible for buying R/M, P/M and spare parts locally and overseas considering company requirements regarding quality, quantity, price etc.
o Periodically assess supplier performance in terms of Delivery and Quality
o Follow up delivery progress of the purchase and ensure on time deliveries
o Manage and arrange the return of rejected material to supplier for replacement

• Cost control:
o Variable cost and fixed cost control
o Manage quotations, negotiate for assigned items at the most economical prices at the highest quality and suitable delivery terms
o Prepare a quarterly Cost Saving Report
o Handling key the Transaction Account Payable (Vendor’s Invoice)

• Import and Export
o Verify the documents of Import - Export and key in EMT System to submit BOI for approval
o Custom clearance of imported equipment and materials

• Document Control in Purchase Dept. of ISO 9001:2000

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor degree in logistics, business administration or other related fields
• 3 to 5 years of purchasing experience

Qualifications/Skills:
• Excellent negotiation & communication skills
• Good computer skills (Excel, Power Point, Word)
• Excellent numerical & analytical skills
• Knowledge in using Logistics systems & Tools
