Project Manager

The person in this position must develop, implement, and enforce project management policy and procedures that support the company Vision. Maintain and improve product management without negatively affecting profitability.

Currently this position reports directly to GM of Vietnam office. To accomplish goals the person in this position must be able to work well with entire Asian staff especially CADs, Sourcing, PO & Logistics, FMs and Office Management.

Person in this position must be able to make good decisions under pressure and stay informed issues that may occur in numerous supplier factories. Must make sure that all issues and decisions are clearly communicated to appropriate personnel as quickly as possible.

• Product Development (Sales Samples):
o Pre-sample Drawing Review
o Sample Scheduling:
o Sample Approval:
o Sample Dispatch:
• Product Costing:
o Drawing Review
▪ Insure that quotation is submitted from the factory promptly.
▪ Further negotiate with factory as necessary.
• Production Control and On-Time Shipping:
o Pre-Production Sample and Review
o Production Schedule:
• Quality Control:
o Review Critical Points of product PPS with QC staff prior to production.
Refer to the “Product Summary Report” for re-fresher.
o Perform First Production Run Audits & distribute support documentation to Director, DC,KM, MA & AB
o Make periodic checks on the production line; make sure that standards are being maintained. Communicate any remarks for improvement and add to
o Communicate daily with the QC staff for any issues or concerns with production. Inform the Production Manager immediately of any concerns.
Log all issues and concerns in the “Product Summary Report”.
o Conduct spot checks for QA testing of materials (carton burst, lead content, adhesion, corrosion, etc.). Make sure that testing results are included in the “Product Summary Report”
o Confirm “Approved” standardized parts being used.
o Sign-off on PSI Inspection Report before product shipment can be released.
o Help the QC solve any dispute with the factory over quality issues.

➢ 4-year degree in business administration; Supply Chain Management or Logistics preferred. CPM certification a plus.
➢ 5 - 10 Years Furniture Sourcing Expertise (Supply Expertise & Contacts Preferred) in purchasing or commodity management; experience in a leadership position required.
➢ Experience with strategic sourcing processes and international procurement, preferably in a multi-facility-manufacturing environment. Background in material planning and logistics a plus.
➢ Strong communication and leadership skills.
➢ Strong analytical and negotiating skills.
➢ Ability to interact with senior management.
➢ Experience in developing strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
➢ Basic knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and quality systems (i.e. ISO, QS)
➢ English language proficiency required.
➢ Heavy Multitasking Environment (Flexibility & Team Building Skills Essential).
➢ Ability to Hold Factory Owners Accountable & Steadfastly Uphold Company’s Objectives, Requirements and Business Conduct policies.
➢ Computer literate including MS Office, Access and CAD software.
