Project Manager

Ecoplexus a global renewable energy and energy storage developer & independent power producer, seeks a Project Manager based in Ho Chi Minh City to lead our Vietnamese project execution, vendor and contractor management, and independent engineers activities. Your role is a critical component of Ecoplexus' project success in Vietnam and will report to the Company’s regional Engineering Procurement and Construction Team and Operations teams, and work closely with our Development teams. You will be responsible for delivery of the cost estimation, vendor review and selection and construction phase of the projects, including;

1. Responsible for the review and selection of Independent Engineers who may conduct due diligence on self developed or acquired projects and their scope of work.
2. Responsible for putting together Request for Proposals for vendors and contractors, and providing budgets and recommendations to management
3. Managing solar and /wind power general contractors and subcontractors, working with legal on their scope of work and contracts, tracking performance, risk and issues, testing and commissioning
4. Responsible for the oversight and management of internal and 3rd party Engineering resources
5. Responsible for oversight of the design process, attaining materials and/or equipment necessary to the project, communicating with the customer to schedule work, defining the schedule and budget to meet contract requirements, and providing direction and
coordination of all field activities related to the physical construction of our systems.
6. Responsible for management of contractors safety and quality plans
7. Conduct site visits to support site evaluation, suitability, and due diligence efforts.
8. Manage technical project requirements and interface as support for supply chain management with various vendors, contractors and third-party engineering firms.
9. Physical quality checks of construction work of sub-contractors

Experience:
1. Min. 5 years’ experience in Project Management or Construction Management in the Energy or large scale construction industries
2. Understanding of electrical international standards and local Vietnamese requirements for Renewable Energy generators preferred
3. Knowledge of due diligence and risk assessment processes.
4. Experience with solar /wind or traditional thermal power plant construction activities
5. Experience with Project Scheduling methodologies and tools, MS Project or similar

Qualifications:
6. BA or Master degree in electrical engineering or a comparable course of studies which is equivalent
7. Strong understanding of provincial and local permitting regulations and requirements
8. Ability to work independently and creatively solve problems
9. High level of professionalism with attention to detail
10. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
11. Superior time management and interpersonal skills
12. Fluency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project
13. Native or near-native proficiency in Vietnamese required.
14. Professional working proficiency in English required.
15. Travel frequent
