Project Manager

Accountabilities:

• Support the implementation of strategic project management initiatives

• Lead the overall planning, control, status reporting, stability and delivery of part of a work stream of a large project / a small project (single area or product) to ensure that project goals and objectives are met within agreed upon time, scope, budget and resource requirements
• Identify and control the issues on the project, drive resolution of issues for a satisfactory outcome and escalate issues as appropriate
• Identify and control the scope of the project. Document scope changes and gain approval by required parties to ensure benefit realisation
• Control the budget of the project and escalate all spending issues.
• Function as a subject matter expert in area where the project manager has expertise .
• Report project progress to all stakeholders in accordance with a well-structured communications plan and ensure all communication is tailored to stakeholder needs
• Ensure the health of the project, identify project risks and mitigation plans and ensure these risks are proactively communicated
• Responsible for implementing the DePICT project management methodology and risk management process

• Ensure that all required project documentation is completed to quality standards, kept up to date, available throughout the project and maintained in the project database through the administrative guidance of the PMO Lead
• Implement ACT change management methodology and approach. Identify, manage and influence stakeholders to achieve business benefits
• Review project performance against the business cases and implement action plans to ensure benefit realization
• Manage compliance to health and safety standards
• Identify previous lessons learnt output and feedback to drive continuous improvement
• Support identifying the project resource, roles and responsibilities, SME's required to deliver the business benefits
• Motivate the project team to accomplish the tasks as outlined, manage change and deliver business benefits
• Manage the performance of the project team members and escalate as appropriate

Skills / Qualifications:

 Strong background in project management.
 Commercial and operational awareness of key operational performance factors of Warehousing and Transport operations.
 Good knowledge of applicable legal and other requirements related to quality, safety, health and environment management.
 Process improvement background.
 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
 Able to identify, analyse, and manage risks; facilitating execution of mitigation and permanent action plans.
 Good customer relationship skills.
 Good training, facilitation, coaching, and auditing skills
 Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel to analyse data
 Capability to map process and develop/ review SOPs.
 Business: 1-3 years of experience in Supply Chain Logistics
 Technical/Engineering University degree
