Project Engineer

1) Ensuring technical compliance of the project with respect to the Shipbuilding Contract and Technical Specification, while coordinating project teams for complete integration and alignment to meet project and business objectives including but not limited to;
• Project Scope and change management
• Schedule performance
• Quality control and validation
• Risk mitigation and Issue management
• Classification society requirements
• Client requirements

2) Active approach to reducing, controlling and monitoring vessel weight and weight budgets on the project. Ensure appropriate and up to date records as detailed in accordance with the PMP and development of a robust weight management plan suitable for the vessel being constructed.

3) Ambassador of continuous improvement culture and waste elimination in all areas of the business.

1) QUALIFICATIONS AND LICENCES:
• Engineering Degree or equivalent in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering
• Systems Engineering exposure in a marine environment
• Project Management Accreditation (Desirable)

2) TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Must have excellent English language proficiency both written and oral.
• Strong understanding of classification society rules and regulations
• Experience in Project Engineer or similar role preferable.
• Professional, motivated and able to work proactively & autonomously.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and people management skills.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workloads in line with business strategy and meet deadlines.
• Ability to lead and participate in a team environment, managing internal & external relations.
• Ability to work effectively with team members and customers at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills, highly flexible and ability to multi task.
