Learning & Teaching Department

The Learning & Teaching area of the Division of the Vice President Academic helps academic leaders and staff ensure the consistent high quality of students’ learning experiences. Learning & Teaching develops and carries out initiatives aimed at enhancing teaching quality, supporting their implementation through consultations with academic staff. The Learning & Teaching team also facilitates institutional recognition of educational best practice, through activities including RMIT Vietnam’s annual Excellence in Teaching awards.

The role & key responsibilities

The Project Assistant is responsible to work on a curriculum review and redesign project across all three academic schools. The project Assistant will be involved in various levels of the project including, but not limited to, providing assistance to the project team leader in scheduling activities, tracking project progress, and data entry that will contribute to reporting on the project. The Project Assistant is a member of the project team for the duration of the contract, and reports to the designated Project Leader as well as undertaking related administrative tasks to support the project team.

Key selection criteria

A relevant Bachelor’s degree
A relevant Master degree is preferred
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
Experience in preparing research reports and graphic presentations of data
Capacity to work in a self-directed manner without constant supervision.
Well-developed planning and organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks,
Set and meet deadlines and give attention to detail.

English proficiency requirements

If English is not your native language then you will be required to demonstrate a minimum English language proficiency standard at a BULATS Intermediate level (BULATS score 60), equivalent to IELTS (General) 5.5. RMIT Vietnam will require you to complete a BULATS test to assess your level of English before an offer of employment can be made.
