High Level Mission Statement
To successfully manage, for the customer and Kimball, programs for the life of the relationship through a coordinated team effort.
High Level Statement of the Role
A program manager will lead internal and external activities that supports successful customer programs. Program managers work with the cross functional teams to meet the customer expectations and work to continuously improve Kimball performance in the programs assigned.
High Level Roles & Responsibilities
• Responsible for communication with the customer and Kimball employees
• Responsible for decisions on program processes, process changes, customer engineering changes, and technologies to be used
• Responsible for selecting, development and tasking of team members for continuous program(s) improvement
• Compile and communicate staffing requirements needed to complete specific projects within the customer’s program
• Responsible for communicating capacity issues and recommending solutions pertaining to the customer’s program
• Responsible to manage program(s) to quoted budget, supply agreement and communicate variances
• Review and provide feedback to the quoting process on quotes and requotes
• Responsible for the successful launch of projects within program(s)
• Facilitate Kimball interdepartmental communications around delivery, quality, etc…
• Knowledge of program material status and issues
• Owns, collects, analyzes and drives metrics established by the BDM, GM and the customer
