NATURE & SCOPE
To ensure the department “Safely” produces the highest “Quality” product at the lowest possible “Price”, and meeting customer demands on “Time”, the disciplines of measurement have seen the adoption of a set of 5 KPI’s to identify problems/opportunities within the manufacturing environment:
• Labour Productivity MHPU - Man hours per unit
• Quality RFT - Right First Time
• Plant efficiencies/utilisation OEE – Overall Equipment Effectiveness
• Customer satisfaction DSA - Delivery Schedule Achievement
• Safety
RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES
• To maintain levels of competent, well trained employees who are multi-skilled in the operations of the Cell.
• To introduce succession planning and job rotation to provide a multi-skilled workforce.
• To set and maintain a high standard of housekeeping which reflects the pride and ownership of the Cell employees.
• To provide a safe environment in which employees of the Cell can work without fear of harm or injury.
• To ensure all items of plant and equipment of the cell are maintained in a safe and efficient manner.
• To liaise with the Cell Leader, the Inventory Manager, Purchasing Officers, Quality Assurance Manager and any other contacts as the representative of the Manufacturing Cell.
• Process control to conform to Internal/External requirements including Environmental aspects.
• To ensure line balancing of stock levels, both raw materials, sub-assemblies, to finished parts.
QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES
• To ensure that products are produced in accordance with the requirements of the ISO9001 quality assurance system.
• Identify and record any product quality problems.
• Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
• Control further processing, delivery or installation of non-conforming products until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

PRODUCTIVITY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Measure and control KPI’s.
• Measure and control production schedule effectiveness.
• Minimise Short Stops.
• Labour Productivity – MHPU are achieved
• OEE – Overall Equipment Effectiveness
• DSA – Delivery Schedule Achievement
• NRFT – Not Right First Time

Yêu cầu ứng viên
• Experience in engineering, planning or purchasing, is an advantage with a minimum of 5-7-year experience in a Supervisory Position with approximately 40 direct reports.
• Proven track record in implementing culture change and realignment of workforces with the needs of the business.
• Good motivation skills, sound communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Can speak English very well.
• Working knowledge ISO9001 quality management system requirements.
• Experience/knowledge from developing and implementing programs with identifiable results using the following:
• kaizen continuous improvement
• lean manufacturing
• just in time
• value stream analysis
• supply chain management
• High personal standards, keenness to ‘walk the talk’ and lead by example.
• Uncompromising standards on employee safety, quality, ethics, and a sense of fairness in dealings with employees.
• An interest and ability to contribute to the broader management team, ie wider than their functional area.
• A welding trade background, or exposure to a number of different manufacturing environments with different processes and products, etc. This can be achieved either within one diversified Company or a variety of Companies. Specific experience in the auto manufacturing & component industries, welding industries, or whitegoods manufacture would be an advantage.
