Mô tả công việc

Location: Possibly first 2 years in China, potentially relocate to Viet NAm

* Key Purpose of the Job:
Responsibilities include driving execution of Speed initiatives at factory level, ensuring production KPIs are met, being a creative voice and problem solver within the manufacturing environment, applying LEAN principles, and being an agent of change and visionary for Faster Together initiatives.
• Manage all pre-production and production Speed related activities in the nominated vendors and Suppliers to ensure Vans standards and that “Faster Together” obligations are being met
• Collaborates with METS in the Automation Strategy with special emphasis on Automation Index, and product quality improvement.
• Ability to partner with functional Teams including Planning, PD, GMS and the Brand (s).
• Establish SOP and KPI's set-up and control associated with Speed initiatives (e.g. On-time Performance, Efficiency, Lead-time, Full-Shipment %, Fill-rate, Quality).
• Capacity to lead and manage key projects throughout the supply chain
• Innovative, creative thinker with an attitude to challenge “status quo”

* Key Areas of Responsibility
• Support Vans Production Ops Team to execute Speed initiatives with the assigned factories.
• Supervise and evaluate the competencies of team members under his/her structure on a regular basis and provides prompt feedback and guidance to drive high performance and improvement in competencies
• Work closely with Vans Planning to maximize product allocation, factory capacity booking and production plans
• Partner with Vans Commercialization Team to execute Speed initiatives
• Co-lead Speed pre-production and production related activities within his/her assigned factories
• Work independently and have strong communication skills to work with cross functional Teams and departments within VF/Vans, including GMS, Vans Product Development, and METS along with factory teams to drive Speed initiatives

* Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Commercialization
• Engage with Commercialization Team members to execute Speed initiatives
• Review and identify potential Commercialization and/or Production issues and provide viable options or solutions to solve these problems. Communicate technical issues to Speed Director suggesting possible solutions which may require their approval.
• Oversee Commercialization trials for all Speed designated initiatives, and confirm the technical execution against specifications, blue prints and gauges

Production & Quality
• Monitor Speed production related activities to ensure that production quality is being maintained against Vans standards and designated target
• Nurture a close working relationship/partnership with Vans Vendors delivering exceptional results against Vans Product Supply OGSM
• Manage and develop all members of his/her Team to ensure all Vans Speed initiatives are met
• Collaborate with other Vans PM’s to develop and implement Best Practices across the entire Vans Vendor base.
• Support VF Quality organization to ensure adherence with quality process within assigned factories

* Minimum Relevant Experience: 10 years
Minimum Supervisory Experience: 7 years
Minimum Academic Requirement: University or College
Major Subject: Business or related
Experience:Project Management, Shoe Manufacturing, Engineering background

* Required Professional Qualification:
1) University/College degree/diploma or above
2) Production Management experience in footwear or related field with a multinational company
3) Excellent command of English language and communication skills
4) Good computer skills in Windows operating environment (Office, Word, Excel, etc.)
5) Good Project Management, coaching and teamwork skills

* Required Written Language:
Strong written capability in English, Chinese and Vietnamese.

* Required Oral Language:
• Good English
• Mandarin a plus (need to communicate with Chinese speaking factory management)

* Competencies, skills set, and abilities:
• Proven Project Management experience and target completion
• Ability to lead, coach, mentor, develop, motivate and build effective team within a department
• Influence and drive people beyond his/her direct control (i.e.Commercialization & Product Development) through personal credibility
• Capable of selling the vision to stakeholders involved in the project
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Equipped with VF Competencies for “People Leader” specifically Coaching, Driving Execution and Communication skills.
• Technical background and knowledgeable in all footwear constructions, footwear engineering and mold making
• Comfortable to work within matrix management in a multicultural/multinational organization
• Must have branded footwear experience
• Manage relationships effectively with partner factories
• Ability to evaluate and manage risk
• Strategically minded individual
• Possess effective negotiation skills
• Change management – Must be able to influence and drive change
• Analytical and process driven
• Ability to remain calm and focused whilst operating in a pressured environment.

• Vans nominated Vendor’s Senior Management including Development Manager, Production Supervisor, Head of Quality, Head of Engineering.
• Vans Product Supply Senior Management (PD & Comm./Prod. Ops. and Planning)
• Tier 2 material suppliers

• VF GMS Team
• Other Sourcing Functional Managers - Costing, Material, Planning, Product Testing, Quality/Lab
