Production Engineer (Molding)

REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor
SUPERVISES: Production (Sr.) Technician
CONTACTS: Other related sections as Production Control, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Control, Moulding.

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Control the operation of a moulding workshop

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Be responsible for a workshop production plan, lines production rotation, downtime, scraps, sub-material consumption and Human relation, lines productivity and reports.
2. Be responsible for SAP issues: update data in time, use data to propose operation improvement.
3. Deliver training to subordinates for product specifications, machines / dies specifications and lines controls, kaizen, zero defects, QC tools.
4. Material handling activities and control sub-material, spare parts consumption in workshop.
5. Coordinate with other sections to improve workshop operation and take action to ensure smoothly production.
6. Take part in establish PFMEA, standards, work instruction, work procedures and processes. Apply ECN, PCN, horizontal expansion activities.
7. Clearly understand self’s and section’s goals to make contribution to obtain quality and delivery goals. Develop action plan in order to achieve section’s goals.
8. Be accountable for the compliance to rules, procedures and requirement in terms of:
a. 7S & KAIZEN
b. Environmental Health Safety
c. EICC & Social Responsibility
d. Protection of company assets
9. Understand, support and contribute to current Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures.
10. Perform other related duties as assigned by manager.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Candidate area required t have at least 4 years working in manufacturing field, preferably with Molding experiences


REQUIRED:
1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering
2. Good knowledge at product’s functions, manufacturing processes.
3. Basic Maintenance Mould, Machine.
4. On the job Training, Coaching skills and Basic management & Kaizen
5. Be able to analyse and detect defects, problem solving and Measurement instrument operation skills.
6. Performance assessment
7. Standards, instructions creation skills
8. Human relation skills
9. Supervision skill. Knowledge SAP
10. Language: basic English
11. Fluency Ms Office.
