Production Engineer

JOB SUMMARY
The Production Engineer will be responsible for mass production at Factory can be efficient in term of Quality, Time, and Cost. The successful candidate will be able to analyze IE data, production layout to improve quality of output, to implement Lean projects at Factory to improve productivity, and to manage communication with Factory and troubleshooting to any issues during mass production.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Comprehend products by studying product specs, sample, and materials characteristics to analyze manufacturing processes.
- Cooperate with Osprey Commercialization Team and QC Team to conduct Pre-Production Meeting with Factory to prepare 1st Production Launch and to ensure Top of Production products meet all requirements and standards.
- Develop and propose best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates at the expected quality.
- Assure Osprey’s standard processes and quality are followed by Factory during mass production.
- Works in cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and improve product quality.
- Collect and analyze IE data and production layout to help identify potential risk, bottleneck. Propose potential solution for it.
- Study Factory production status and implement Lean projects to improve productivity.
- Train Factory production team on Osprey standard and effective production concepts/tools.

*AUTHORITY & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The Production Engineer is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out responsibilities consistent with general guidance of the Production Manager. The Production Engineer is directly responsible to the Production Manager.

- Primary Contacts: OPV Staff (Design, Development, Production, CT, QC), Factory Management.

*Education and Requirements:
- Education: 4-year Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of related experience, Pack manufacture and/or cut and sew operational knowledge a plus.
- Experienced in implementing Lean projects.
- Experienced in creating SOPs.
- Being critical thinking.
- Good analytical skills.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
Travel: Ability to travel as needed domestically and possibly some international.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Compensation: Salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Paid Time-Off (PTO): 14 days, plus public Holidays. Benefits: Comprehensive Benefits Package. Lunch provided 5 days a week.

REQUIRED MEETINGS AND TIME/TRAVEL
Participation in all department and general company meetings/functions, and others relating to special assignments, as required. May be required to work outside of normal work hours or attend offsite training/business functions.
