To provide marketing leadership and day to day strategic and tactical direction for Medtronic’s SI portfolios across country.
To establish strategies required to meet financial objectives for sales, market share, and profitability.
To develop and execute marketing plans in alignment with country & regional strategic objectives.
To support the sales team in developing and implementing country marketing and sales support activities in order to grow the SI portfolio and market share.
To collaborate with Sales team of the Advanced Surgery and General Surgery teams to ensure effective lines of communication.
A Day in the Life
Product Line: Advanced Surgical Products
General Marketing Accountabilities:
• Understanding Customers: understand customer segmentation, decision makers and customer environment.
• Understanding Competitors: understand competitors weaknesses and strengths via competitors intelligence, market analysis, sales force report etc.
• Data & Information analytics
• Developing Brand Strategy: Defining strategies and identify critical success factors.
• Ensuring the brand objectives are achieved within the approved MKT & Clinical (PACE) budget. Monitoring and analyzing the budget on monthly basis and coordinating with finance & PACE team.
• KOL development and building professional relationship with key stakeholders (internal and external)
• Coordinating with Regional Marketing to figure out Global and APAC KOLs for clinical workshops
• Conducting orientation training for newcomers
• Own SI product launch master schedule and work with sales team on training, launch events, and provision of marketing materials
• Contribute to the establishment of annual marketing plans for the SI portfolio on new product launch/re-launch & core products. Key components include strategies, key initiatives, and objectives, launch schedule, key account strategy, customer training events, focus conferences, KOL engagement plans, and marketing budget.
• Establishes strong links with marketing activities with the BUs to align plans for future marketing and product development.
• Identify business growth opportunities and potential unmet customer requirements.
• Assure alignment with functional areas such as RA, QA, Operations, Compliance and Sales.
• Participates in monthly BUs meeting with sales team to maintain alignment, ensure execution of annual marketing plan as well as understand Sales team support needs.
Product Marketing Accountabilities:
• Develop Product Marketing Plan for responsible products and specialty in charge (one for Stapling and Lung Health, the other for Energy based devices and Gastro-intestinal)
• Leading and collaborating with Sales Team to deploy/ execute promotional activities (and partially educational activities, in collaboration with PACE personnel)
• New Product Launch: develop Launch Plan and collaborate with Sales for execution
• Propose and monitor budget plan for product portfolio in charge
• Propose, monitor price for new products.
• Develop KOLs, working with KOLs for contents of presentations for events, making sure key messages are well delivered
• Collaborate with sales to execute MKT events
• Provide training for new hires, frequent updates on new trend, new product/procedures updates (sometimes with support and presence of KOLs)
• Monitoring sales of Product portfolio in charge, especially focus products and new product after launch
• Getting input from Sales team, provide product forecast for Regional Demand Planning & MKT team. Working with them to get support for product supply for sales team
• Develop promotional materials
Ensure Marketing Planning Cycle
• Plan: Define assumptions (key issues), Establish Objectives, determine strategies
• Implement: Assign tasks, Carry out the plan
• Control: Measure results, Evaluate, Propose & carry out corrective action.
• Attend Regional training and events based on approved plan to make sure brand strategy and objectives aligned with Regional Team.
Working Attitude:
• Willing to accept work load and organization changes (new brands, tasks, responsibilities…)
• Closely cooperate with cross-functional (sales force, business support, RA, QA…) to handle the business matter and explore business opportunities
• Ready to support Managers on ad-hoc requirements (if any)

Must Have
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical/Pharmaceutical, Marketing, Healthcare Management or similar experience in the medical device business.
• 2 to 5 years’ experience in marketing or sales & marketing, some of which must be in healthcare industry – business focused on Health Care Market with consistent strong performance.
• Advanced IT skills in MS Office, i.e. MS Excel / Access.
• Fluent in English.
Working Environment/ Conditions:
• Some overseas/local travel will be required.
