Product Manager

You will be responsible for building strong product categories, leveraging on the brands available on the local market and on LEROY MERLIN private label portfolio. You will manage the adequation of these ranges with Vietnam market in terms of product specifications and price strategy as well as be accountable for the P/L and purchase negotiations with our suppliers. You will join a team of Product Managers and will report to the Product & Supply Chain leader.
● Market understanding and definition of the business strategy
○ Understand inhabitants’ needs and convert them into a category strategy, including product sourcing, development of services and marketing directions
○ Continuously analyze competitors and suppliers landscape to grasp market data and insights to enrich products’ categories strategy

● Build strong product and services offers
○ Conduct price and product’s specifications benchmark to have the right value for money ratio for selected ranges, in line with inhabitants’ expectations
○ Balance branded products and private label portfolio to ensure a sustainable P/L for the category
○ Conduct negotiations with suppliers, including product price, marketing support and any other levers to increase LEROY MERLIN’s competitivity and visibility

● Effectively run the day-to-day business to ensure growth
o Monitor sales and promotions over the different sales channels: LEROY MERLIN website, marketplace…
o Check all product information and data to ensure correct information to customers and sales support
o Ensure compliance of the offer with Vietnamese market and regulation: instruction manual, import labels,...

● Experience and hard skills
○ Bachelor degree in Business or Marketing
○ At least 7 years of experience in Product Management
○ Excellent knowledge of retail business, especially non-food categories
○ Experience in specialized industries such as Home Appliances, A/C appliances, Plumbing, Flooring materials, Tiling would be a plus
● Soft skills
○ Entrepreneurial spirit: agility, creativity, perseverance, high involvement and self-management
○ Adaptable to dynamic and young environment
○ Desire and motivation to work in a start-up environment
○ Hands-on / willingness to deliver
○ Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication & project management skills
○ Good command of written and verbal English & Vietnamese
