Product Developer

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing apparel fashion manufacturer within a friendly and dynamic team.
You will work under the guidance and supervision of the office manager and merchandising manager and be responsible of your customers’ developments and follow up.
In partnership with Sample room, pattern makers, design team and merchandising team you will have to develop the product at a quality and level, which pleases both customers and manufacturer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead the development and execution of your assigned products. (Knit and woven garments)
- Be responsible for development process from buyer request to submission.
- Sourcing new fabrics, accessories locally or from abroad.
- Process and follow development within sample room.
- Reporting sampling lead-time to managers.
- Making costing
- Negotiating fabric and accessories
- Negotiating CM price with suppliers with the help on merchandising team
- Check sample measurements once completed and make sure fitting and workmanship follow requirements.
- Take action to solve discrepancies if any.
- Prepare sample cards and sample review/presentation
- Coordinate sample sending with woven and knit team

- Knowledge of product development (knit and woven)
- Technical garment making knowledge a must.
- Must be able to multi task and work in fast paced environment
- Must be proactive with a solution/result oriented attitude

Candidate preferred with experience in garment production / sample room or buying office.
