MODMO is a bike-tech startup originally from Ireland but now headquartered in Saigon. We are hiring a bag designer/developer who can execute the whole process of design/development/production of a range of cycling focused bags.
We are searching for a hands-on and creative individual to join our small team of five in our District 4 office.
Inspired by the pulse of the city, you will conceptualise new products, create samples using our in-house sewing machines, and present a manufacturable good to our factory partners in District 10.
Your first project will be working on finalising the details of ‘Ark’ (see product video - https://youtu.be/JzroiVcFhfQ) and getting it into production. The Ark is the first product to launch under the ‘MODMO’ brand. It uses a range of advanced manufacturing technologies to produce a seamless, waterproof, and beautiful messenger bag, aimed at our European customers who commute to work by bike.
As our Lead Product Developer, you should be hands-on, creative, and bursting with product ideas. You should be able to create simple prototypes using a sewing machine and have good knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes - specifically sewing and RF welding.
You should be passionate about sustainable manufacturing and creating a bag that can last a lifetime.

Experience -
Having knowledge/experience of RF welding would be a significant benefit.
Experience in a related field(garments, luggage, backpacks, fabric).
Product design/development.
Project management.
Product Manufacturing and Engineering.
Making ’tech packs.’
Managing production - Working alongside our manufacturers to ensure the product is produced on time and to the quality we expect.
Qualifications -
We put an emphasis on experience over qualifications.
University degrees are a bonus but not necessary.
We communicate in English so good written, and spoken English skills are a must.
