Product Design & Development Manager

Who we are:
- We are the renown European manufacturer and marketer of branded indoor and outdoor consumer goods with worldwide distribution

Tasks:
- Draw and develop new forms and designs, ideally using appropriate current CAD-based tools
- Research, analyze and develop the consumer benefits regarding functionality
- Research, source and develop new materials, surfaces and colors;
- Overlook the whole development process from initial steps until final suitability for mass production
- Permanently control production results ensuring the visual and qualitative goal-alignment
- Trend/product scouting and market analysis (suppliers) as the basis for new product development (own production) and buying from third parties (evaluation of suppliers)
- Define design and packaging methods always ensuring the high visual and technical quality level set by general management following the marketing/brand strategy
- Ensure the overall implementation of corporate identity/design rules for brand appearance, packaging, factory, showroom and garments
- Attend local and international fairs and exhibitions
- Support general management and colleagues in dealing with customers
- Cooperate closely with colleagues of design/product development and quality management/quality assurance in the German head office
- Other tasks assigned by the General Director

- University degree in Industrial Design or similar
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in outdoor/interior or decorative products
- A good working knowledge of Auto Cad, 3D max, Photoshop
- Experience in working with ERP-systems.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing)
