Procurement/project Manager

POSITION PURPOSE:

Project Manager is a standalone role in managing new projects create by IDP. This role will responsible from initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing the work of different projects to achieve the IDP specific goals at the specified timeline within the given constraints.
At IDP, this role will focus on two main areas which include business expansion and procurement management. Depending on the strategy of each year, the role might be requested to manage other projects which support for the development of IDP Vietnam.
Business Expansion:
Manage the new office projects or office renovation through all process from A to Z to make sure they are run smoothly as timeline and fully compliance with IDP global policy.
Procurement Management:
Leading full cycle procurement activities within Vietnam and collaborating with global peers.
The initial focus of the role will be to collaborate with group systems and technical consultants in delivering successful implantation of SAP Ariba an Concur modules into Vietnam business units.
The role is also responsible for developing purchasing strategies which meet operational requirements of the company and executing the strategies by leading procurement efforts in a number of key categories.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Facilities Management
• Collaborate with stakeholders to assist on the business cases and get approval from CEO and CFO.
• Prepare the implementation plan to manage contractors/vendors to meet project requirements and control the project progress for on-time-delivery.
• Lead and negotiate on lease contracts with landlord to ensure risks are minimized and managed

Procurement Management
• Bring strategic mindset to procurement - Negotiating with key suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes to IDP (regarding supply price, product and service) without compromising IDP customer experience.
• Build culture of seeking “best outcome with suppliers” within IDP by communicating, training and influencing operational teams
• Perform commercial review of major proposed supplier contracts commercial terms and seek legal review on the same contracts.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and identify / prioritise areas of opportunity
• Drive data collection efforts to identify and benchmark procurement opportunities and outcomes vs. other regions/countries or externally to drive for continuous improvement
• Analyse and report savings or improvements in procurement outcomes to local / regional and HQ stakeholders.
• Actively analyse in-country spend categories & trends to identify opportunities for procurement savings & benefits.

Procurement System, Process and Policy
• Play a key role in developing and refining IDP procurement policy and procedures in conjunction with internal stakeholders.
• Play a leading role in implementation of procurement systems (Ariba and Concur) – developing subject matter expertise in both systems
• Providing first class support on an ongoing basis, to country teams in effectively using Ariba and Concur to drive value.
• Support and train country teams to on best practices to obtain maximum value from procurement opportunities.
• Ensuring associated SEA procurement processes are performed with consistency and rigour and in compliance to IDP policy (e.g. Masterdata update process, storage of supplier contracts, vendor due diligence)
• Collaborate with Regional Procurement Manager on projects and IDP procurement initiatives.

Essential requirements:
• Degree educated – minimum Bachelors Level or equivalent
• 5 years+ experience in procurement or business expansion.
• Highly developed negotiations, networking and analytical skills.
• Strong experience in collecting and analyzing data.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a diplomatic approach towards resolving conflict
• Fluent English – and very strong communication (oral, written and presentation) skills to effectively communicate to and influence a diverse management group in SEA region and diverse range of suppliers
• Technically savvy with and strong interest for IOT/Cloud based Apps
• Knowledge/Experience in construction, renovations and M&E fitouts.
• Well organised, with a thorough and methodical approach when completing tasks
• Self-disciplined when working autonomously but collaborative when in a team environment
• An ability to work under pressure and organize work priorities to meet deadlines
• Demonstrated hands-on SAP Ariba experience

Desirable:
• SAP Concur experience
• Experience with large scale / global procurement tenders
• High level proficiency in excel (PIVOT, lookup, sumif)
• Understand entire workflow of a supply chain, from source to pay
