Procurement Manager

This position is responsible for overall management of procurement teams and activities in Vietnam operations, controlling the flow of goods and services align with the corporate strategy, and actively involving the streamline of procurement processes, managing supplier performance in Vietnam and identifying business opportunities with the Corporate and other sites.

1. Lead the procurement team in Vietnam (Operating units at Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Hoa Binh)

- Lead the team requires a mix of delegation and be one of key decision maker for critical cases and negotiation with suppliers.
- Manage staff planning, training and performance evaluation.
- Nurture team spirit and cooperation.
- Coach, guide and empower subordinates. Manage staff turnover.

2. Sourcing of product

- Identify the strategic suppliers, laisse between internal stakeholders and the supplier to ensure all key value requirements are met in terms of specification, service, delivery and pricing requirements.
- Find solutions to reduce prices to meet market expectations for external customers and procurement targets, encourage to buy directly from the manufacturer to cut the middleman.

3. Supplier Relationship Management

- Manage existing business portfolio, establish good communication channels with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Rectify the quality issues, including product replacement, discount/ claim negotiation and post -purchase evaluation.
- Ensure suppliers understand our quality standard and complies to regulatory procedures, trade policies in Vietnam.

4. Develop procurement framework and process improvement

- Work closely with managerial level and the Corporate to develop an efficient procurement process through new process and technology.
- Review resources allocation and streamline workflow for efficiency.

- For both Vietnamese & foreign applicants
- Prefer Expert in procurement field
- University Degree Holder or above
- Over 8 years working in a medium to large international company in roles which had responsibility or direct involvement in the product sourcing, with at least 5 years of which at managerial level
- Experienced working with headquarter and foreign branches preferred
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
- Able to communicate in Chinese is a plus
- In- depth operational knowledge of Procurement
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable to secure rapport and trust from suppliers as well as colleagues and subordinates
- Working place: Based at Esquel Binh Duong with substantial business travel (oversee Esquel Dong Nai, Esquel Hoa Binh procurement teams)

- 14 days of annual leave
