Procurement Manager

* Mission:
To buy materials at minimum cost through the strong supplier management system, maintain a good inventory management system to minimize material inventory, fulfill the delivery demand of finished goods to the customers at the right time, at the right quantity.

* Responsibilities:
● Overseeing Material Planners to plan material , set up safety stock, reorder point to make sure optimum inventory of RM & Packaging Material to support production plan without interruption. Review the material requirement before sending it to Suppliers/Vendors.
● Aid in executing new product launches process, packaging changes, product updates, and discontinuation of products by: ensuring product set up correctly, startup plan validation, capacity validated, volumes scheduled with sensitivity analysis completed
● Research, evaluate, negotiate and buy paper, raw materials for our company to used in our production facility.
● Find and Evaluate suppliers on the basis of the price, quality, and speed of delivery of their products and services.
● Understand, stay updated with cost drivers and maintain competitiveness in purchase price/spending.
● Interview vendors and visit suppliers’ plants and distribution centers to examine and learn about products, services, and prices.
● Attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences to learn about new industry trends and make contacts with suppliers.
● Negotiate and analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other information to determine reasonable prices.
● Work out agreements with suppliers, such as when products will be delivered.
● Meet with staff and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action.
● Evaluate and monitor contracts to be sure that vendors and supplies comply with the terms and conditions of the contract and to determine the need for changes.
● Maintain and review records of items bought, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories.
● Monitor confirmation and delivery of orders and provide proactive response to any delay or potential delay situation.
● Work closely with Quality Department to ensure compliance of products accepted for delivery.

* Position specific:
● Technical expertise: strong experience in Sourcing /Purchasing or Supplier Development, experience in inventory management and tracking systems.
● Understanding of production flow and quality management in a manufacturing environment.
● Management: Candidate has the ability to motivate, set priorities, result focus, lead people, develop people and practice what you Preach.
● Language: Fluent in English
● Negotiation: strong in negotiation skills.
