Reporting to the Project Director and/or Project Managers, the Procurement Engineer will be in charge of procurement and shipping operations related to project execution and maintenance services.
His/ her main responsibilities will comprise the following:
• Prepare commercial contract terms for suppliers and subcontractors according to defined procurement plan tailored to each individual project
• Update the database of suppliers and subcontractors, in coordination with application engineers
• Send RFQ to suppliers and subcontractors on the basis of technical recommendations made by the engineering team
• Negotiate with selected suppliers to obtain favourable commercial terms (price, shipping & delivery terms, guarantees, payments)
• Assist project team in negotiations with sub-contractors (commercial terms)
• Place orders for M&E equipments based on Project manager instructions, with adequate commercial and shipping terms
• Follow up a delivery schedule for project M&E supplies and monitor progress to guarantee timely delivery
• Validate all shipping documents, including insurance policies
• Organize customs clearance operations (including coordination with clients’ procurement teams) and site delivery
• Assist project managers in follow-up of payments to suppliers
• Provide feedback on suppliers’ prices and performance to application engineers if required.

Candidate Profile
The candidate must have a college degree, and 4-5 years experience in a similar position, i.e. managing the procurement and shipping operations of an engineering or construction company.
He/she should also demonstrate the following qualifications:
• Proven track-record in procurement, shipping and customs clearance operations
• High sense of integrity
• Good negotiation skills in English
• Result-oriented, and high sense of initiative
• Organized and good attention to details
• Good ability to interact with people at different levels
• Good written and spoken English
• Hard working and able to work under tight deadlines
• Available to travel in Vietnam
Compensation
According to the candidate’s profile and experience.

Vertical promotion and greater responsibilities within contracts department.
