Process Quality Engineer

The Process Quality Engineer will be responsible for improving products performance and production efficiency. He/she will implement quality engineering tools and practices (world class manufacturing) for the effective and efficient development, transfer and sustainability of products/processes throughout the product lifecycle. The Process Quality Engineer will also utilize quality engineering principles and problem-solving skills to improve and maintain products/processes that are aligned with the overall quality vision, and will utilize appropriate risk management to prevent unanticipated failure modes and improve processes capability. The work areas cover raw materials, work in progress and finished products as well as textile processes including extrusion, knitting, coating, cutting, sewing and packaging.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Develop, interpret, and implement appropriate process monitoring and control methods, including sampling plans related to process quality.
• Collect data, conduct statistical analysis, assess and interpret results related to products and processes performances.
• Define root causes for variations and losses.
• Propose and implement improvement solutions and projects that improve quality, compliance, efficiencies, yields, throughputs.
• Lead and execute, or support process and machinery related validations in accordance with company and/or third-party manufacturer requirements, processes and procedures.
• Review and update manufacturing process validation documentation.
• Develop new and/or improve existing processes.
• Develop the necessary knowledge on equipment, processes and product to be recognized as a local expert, particularly in areas of control production, maintenance, calibration and textile processes.
• Supports new product introduction as part of design transfer.
• Drive identification and successfully implement cost improvement projects.
• Comply with all job specific safety procedures and utilize personal protective equipment when necessary.
• Comply with quality system requirements as defined within procedures and instructions

Key Competencies

• Statistical and analytical problem-solving skills

• Able to navigate an ambiguous environment that arises from a global organization
• Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Vietnamese
• Proven experience in using design of experiments to improve product and processes is a plus
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification or Certified Quality Engineer equivalent is preferred

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering technical field: bio-medical, food, chemical engineering, material science or others
• Minimum 5 years related experience in relevance industry
